Obstetrician/Gynecologist – (Danbury and Southbury)

Provides medical diagnosis and treatment of ob/gyn patients during prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. Examines patients in inpatient & outpatient settings. Delivers babies, performing surgical procedures as needed. Performs gynecologic surgery on non-pregnant women, using robotic and laparoscopic techniques as needed. Treats conditions and diseases of the female reproductive system, performs cancer screening, and provides reproductive counseling. Prescribes medication, treatment, testing, and therapy. Refers to medical specialists for specialized treatment. Requirements: M.D. or foreign equivalent degree and 48 months residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Training must include use of robotic and laparoscopic surgical techniques.  Other requirements: Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Ob/Gyn, as well as licensure or eligibility for licensure in Connecticut.
